Here’s the next piece in the works. I’ve just read the original Wizard of Oz for the first time. I grew up with the movie but the book brings so much more imagery to mind. I imagine I’ll have several pieces to come from it, but here is one of the more recognizable scenes.

Often when I doodle, I play around with made up faces and caricatures. It gives me a sense of how emphasizing certain features can make a character look more like an actual person. I find it more fun than actually doing caricatures of actual people.
